About Me

"Hi, I’m Faryal and I work as a Person-Centred Counsellor. I will be here to help you understand yourself better by enabling you to become more self-aware and also by empowering you to explore your own behaviours, thoughts and feelings, for you to reach your own conclusions and make your own decisions."

Training & Accreditation

I have achieved a level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am a registered member of the BACP, meaning that I have been trained at a required level of proficiency, and I have obtained a Certificate of Proficiency. I follow the BACP Ethical Framework.

Experience

I have carried out voluntary work as a trainee and also as a qualified counsellor at an independent non-profit-making counselling service based in Chorlton, which offers therapy to clients who are on low

or no incomes.

I have also worked as a learning support assistant in both primary schools and secondary schools, supporting and teaching lower ability children and children with special educational needs and disabilities for over 10 years.

Being a keyworker for some of these children has helped me to develop good relationships with them, which has enabled me to support them through any emotional, social and mental health difficulties they had been facing throughout their time in education.

My Practice

I offer counselling sessions both online and via telephone from Monday- Friday.

"My sessions with Faryal have become an important part of my week. They are a space for me to reflect, check in with myself, and notice what's going on for me, and what I need. Faryal's approach is compassionate and empowering. I  have noticed a positive difference in my life since starting our sessions."
